Caryn Constantinides (b. 1983, Chicago, IL) is an Austin-based painter. A Graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art with a double major BFA in General Fine Arts and Graphic Design. Upon graduation she began working as a graphic designer but after 10 years, returned to her painting practice.

Caryn’s current practice has recently shifted from pure abstraction back toward a more impressionistic style. Whether abstract or representational, her work continues to explore the materiality of paint, inviting viewers to linger in the layers and observe how soft gradations and bold textures interact.
